What We Do

Echelon seeks to mobilize the next generation for The Salvation Army by providing opportunities for young adults to engage with the organization through fellowship and networking, donations and fundraising, and service and volunteering.

Fundraising

  • The Echelon Annual Fundraising Event, held each spring, celebrates the vast work of The Salvation Army. The multi-generational event is an opportunity to bring together a diverse group of The Salvation Army's supporters.
  • Red Kettle Bell Ringing is a chance for Echelon members to collect donations in their community for The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign.

Service & Volunteer

  • At The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center members have the opportunity to serve as coaches, guest speakers, and volunteers.
  • At the Kaiser Family Crisis Center Echelon members help promote self-sufficiency by helping adults develop the skills necessary to maintain a secure lifestyle.
  • At The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC), Echelon members have the opportunity to host workshops that encourage healthy lifestyle choices, and provide new cultural learning experiences.

Networking

  • Quarterly Mixers and events to meet other Valley young professionals.
  • Invitations to The Salvation Army’s annual networking events with business leaders and philanthropists, including its Leadership Breakfast, Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon and the Red Kettle Kickoff Luncheon.
  • Kentucky Derby Party provides members a chance to socialize while cheering major sporting events.
