Haven ATL Yard Clean Up Day and Welcome Kit Donations
Haven Atlanta and The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta are helping to free our city from commercial sexual exploitation and the damage it causes to communities, families and individuals. The drop-in facility encompasses prevention, education, case management and outreach to help women lead healthy, sustainable lives. Haven Atlanta provides a safe, nurturing environment and addresses basic needs such as food, clothing and medical care. They also provide individual and group therapy, life skills and job readiness training, spiritual support, and referrals for housing, rental and utility assistance. Haven Atlanta’s phased program supports and empowers each woman to reach her personal goals, typically within a one-year time-frame. After they’ve finished the program, women become alumni and receive a mentee to provide continued support.
We are also accepting donations. With the money that you donate we will create welcome kits for the women at Haven Atlanta. These welcome kits will include the following: journal and pens, snacks, bottled water, toiletries (such as a loofah and body wash and lotion), feel good items, and notes or cards of encouragement.
